Azalea Orthopedic Surgeon Elected Second President
Elect
for the Texas Orthopedic Association
East Texas orthopedic surgeon, Timothy Beck,
MD, was sworn in as Second President-elect of the Texas Orthopedic
Association (TOA) at the organization’s 70th Anniversary
and Annual Meeting held in Houston.
Dr. Beck has served on the Board of Directors on the TOA Legislative
Committee as the Councilor and has been an active decision-maker
on state and national issues on behalf of the Texas Orthopedic
Association, as well as the American Academy of Orthopedic
Surgeons.
A graduate of Texas A & M University, Dr.
Beck received his medical degree from the University of Texas
Health Science Center in San Antonia. Dr. Beck completed his
medical residency at the University of Tennessee-Campbell Clinic
with an additional fellowship in Foot and Ankle Reconstructive
Surgery. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic
Surgery; Dr. Beck is a partner at Azalea Orthopedics a 16-member
group of orthopedic surgeons and a joint owner in Texas Spine
and Joint Hospital.

the 2008-2009 President of such a prestiges organization. The
TOA is an important organization for Texas, and works diligently
to improve the quality of orthopedic care in our communities,” responded
Dr. Beck.
Former President of the TOA and Azalea Orthopedic
partner, Dr. William Schreiber said, “Dr. Beck as been
extremely active in the organization and is an excellent choice.
It is an important role, and East Texas is fortunate to have
such a competent orthopedic surgeon, like Dr. Beck to be chosen
as the next President.
TOA is a non-profit organization of over 1500
orthopedic surgeons across the State of Texas. Musculoskeletal
conditions are the most common causes of severe long-term pain
and physical disability. Texas Orthopedic Association strives
to ensure musculoskeletal health and to provide quality care
for people afflicted with bone and joint disorders or injuries.
