Azalea Orthopedics Sports Medicine Involvement in the Community

Azalea Orthopedics has been very active in the community providing Athletic Trainer Coverage, Sponsorship, and assistance to the East Texas Community for eight years now. The program started with just one Licensed Athletic Trainer and has grown in size with an average of ten members per year in the Sports Medicine program.

The employees of Azalea Orthopedics have provided daily coverage to area schools in regards to their sports programs along with special events, camps, and non-school leagues through out the years.
 Azalea Orthopedics Athletic Trainers have been involved with the USTPA Challenger Tournament, Texas Collegiate League Baseball, World Wrestling Entertainment, NJCAA National Tournaments, Semi Pro Football League, area Charity Tennis Tournaments, and various summer leagues.

Currently Azalea Orthopedics Sports Medicine also sponsors a Regional All-star Basketball Event for the High School Athletes of East Texas and the Tyler Football Classic held each year at the start of High School Football season. Azalea Orthopedics Sports Medicine offers education opportunities for the Athletic Training Programs of East Texas each year by sponsoring the East Texas Athletic Trainers Association Student Trainer Workshop. Azalea Orthopedics provides lecturers and staff to help educate the Student Athletic Trainers along with the Professional Athletic Trainers that attend the annual event.

Each year Azalea Orthopedics offers a free Saturday Injury Clinic for Junior High, High School, and Collegiate Athletes during the Football season. This clinic provides Athletic Trainers, Coaches, Parents, and Athletes the opportunity to see an Orthopedic Surgeon, obtain x-rays, and receive treatment/clearance guide line free of charge.
