Consult with your doctor from the comfort of your living room with our new telemedicine service. Our top priority is the safety of our patients and our staff. In an effort to reduce exposure from COVID-19 for both our patients and our medical staff, we now offer telemedicine and video chat for established patients. Much like Facetime and Skype, this new service is convenient and easy to use. Not all patients qualify for this service; please see the list of questions below:
Do I need a computer or a smartphone?
Answer: We offer both telemedicine and video chat. To use video chat, you must have a smartphone or computer (with internet) and a built-in camera. If you lack one or more of these items, you can communicate via the telephone.
Do I need an appointment, or can I call anytime?
Answer: Our physicians will determine if you are eligible for this service. If applicable, you will have the option to schedule a telemedicine appointment. Once the appointment is scheduled, your physician will contact you at the time of your consultation.
Should I use this for an emergency?
Answer: No, this should not be used for emergencies. If you are experiencing an emergency or need immediate help, please dial 911.
Can I use telemedicine if I’m a new patient?
Answer: Telemedicine services are only rendered by existing patients and surgical rechecks. New patients/new conditions must be evaluated in the office initially by an Azalea physician before using this new service.
Are all doctors from Azalea participating?
Answer: Most of our physicians are using telemedicine, but not all.
Do I need to download an app?
Answer: You do not need to download an app or computer program. Before your scheduled appointment, your doctor will send a link to your email or phone. Once you receive the message, click the link and wait for your physician to join the online consultation.
